James Harry Mallard James Harry Mallard Mr. James Harry Mallard, aged 56 years, one month and one day, died at his home in this city this morning, following an illness which has extended over many months. The funeral services will be held from his late residence tomorrow morning at 10 o'clock. Services will be held at the home. Decedent came to Bay City several years ago and had been in the employment of the Bay City Auto and Sales Co. prior to his illness which made an invalid of him. He is survived by his wife and four children, Misses Dulce and Lurline and Harry and Dick. A sister, Mrs. T.J. Martin, of Louisberg, Tenn., and a brother, J.R. Mallard, of Redland, Cal., also survive him. Mr. Mallard was born at Caney Springs, Tenn., and moved to Texas in early manhood, marrying Miss Bertha Thompson, a sister of Mayor Pat Thompson and Mr. Frank Thompson, of this city. He was of a quiet easy-going nature and made many friends by his extremely amiable disposition. While his death has been expected for some time, it is nevertheless a sad blow to his family and to the many friends of the family here and throughout the country.
