Markham:  Two teen-age boys were killed early Sunday morning after their car drove off the road near Markham and struck a concrete culvert.

According to Department of Public Safety reports, Joseph A. Brown, 18, was driving a 1982 Oldsmobile Omega east on Buckeye-El Maton Road off of Farm Road 1468 around 1:30AM Sunday when the car left the north side of the road striking a culvert. Officials with Bay City Emergency Medical Services said the car flipped, then righted itself, throwing Brown and one of the other passengers from the car.

Two other passengers were also in the car at the time of the accident and received injuries.  Cindy Valdez, 17, a student from Markham, was seriously injured in the wreck.
