Baldemar “Valde” Gonzales October 2, 1953 – February 20, 1991
Funeral services for Valde Gonzales, 37, of Pasadena, will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Bay City, with the Rev. Edward Boren officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City.
Mr. Gonzales was born October 2, 1953, to Comerino and Maria Cantu Gonzales in Floresville, and died February 20, 1991, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston. A resident of Pasadena for 17 years, he was a member of the Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Carole Andrews Gonzales of Pasadena; mother, Maria Gonzales of Clute; two sisters, Christina Ordonez of Lake Jackson and Mary Estrada of Clute; six brothers, Raymond Gonzales, Raynaldo Gonzales, Rudy Gonzales, David Gonzales and Joe Gonzales, all of Clute, and Comerino Gonzales Jr. of Bay City.
Arrangements are with Taylor Brothers Funeral Home, Bay City.

He was born April 25, 1979 in Bay City to Virginia Charles Gutierrez and Alfredo Gutierrez, Sr. Funeral Services will be 2 p. m. Friday, June 13 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sammy Nuncio, Bobby Charles, Arthur Villarreal, Gilbert Morales, Steven Gutierrez and Louis Rodriguez. Honorary Pallbearers will be Amado Nuncio, Joe Gutierrez, Johnny Lopez, Felipe Lopez, Chris Zamora, Michael Zamora, Cory Charles, Chris Alvarado, Dietriech DeLaRosa, Jesse Villarreal and Joe Santos Garza. Francisco Gutierrez Anna Maria Gutierrez Francisco Gutierrez Funeral services for Francisco Gutierrez, 69, of Bay City will be held 10 a. m. Wednesday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Edward Boring officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. A rosary is scheduled for 7 p. m. today at the Taylor Brothers Funeral home chapel. Mr. Gutierrez was born April 14, 1922, to Vicente and Victoria Cantu Gutierrez in George West and died Sept. 29, 1991, at the Sweeny Community Hospital in Sweeny. A resident of Matagorda County for 35 years, he was a member of the Catholic church. Survivors include three sisters, Maclovia Perez of Bay City, Julia Moreno of Edna and Luisa Gutierrez Pena of Raymondville; three brothers, Gilbert Gutierrez of Bay City, Arturo Gutierrez of El Campo and Eristeo Gutierrez of Matthes; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Marie Gutierrez, who died in 1987; his mother, Victoria Gutierrez, in 1978; and his father, Vicente Gutierrez, in 1964. Harry L. Hamilton Gladys Hamilton Gladys Hamilton Funeral services for Gladys Hamilton, 74, of Bay City were scheduled for 2:30 p. m. today at Golden Avenue Baptist Church with the Rev. Michael Mercer officiating. Burial will be in Cedarvale Cemetery. Mrs. Hamilton was born Jan. 5, 1912, in Oklahoma to B. D. and Casey Sanders Gibbens and died Jan. 9, 1986, at Matagorda General Hospital. She owned and operated Hamilton’s Bakery for many years and was a member of Golden Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, Harry L. Hamilton of Bay City; three sons, Harold E. Hamilton of Oklahoma City, Ralph G. Hamilton of Centerville, La., and Ray W. Hamilton of Bay City; a daughter, Angie Williams of Bay City; two brothers, Don Gibbens and Earl Gibbens of Bay City; a sister, Marlene Hazelwood of Van Vleck; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Pallbearers include Ray Hamilton Jr., Greg Hamilton, Lee Hamilton, Mark Hamilton, Kenny Williams and Clay Williams. Services are under the direction of Dick R. Elkins, Bay City Funeral Home. Survivors include his three sons, Harold Lee Hamilton of Fort Worth, Ralph Hamilton of Monroe, La., and Ray Hamilton of Bay City; a daughter, Angie Williams of Bay City; two brothers, Walter Hamilton of Cedar Lane and Jack Hamilton of Bay City; two sisters, Flora Clements of Cedar Lane and Susie Werlla of Vidor; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys, in 1986. Pallbearers are Ray Hamilton Jr., Lee Hamilton, Mark Hamilton, Clay Williams, Kenneth Williams and Tim Hamilton. Wednesday at the funeral home chapel. Mr. Herrera was born Jan. 16, 1910 in Bay City to Marcelino and Susie Herrera and he died Nov. 16, 1992 at Matagorda General Hospital. He was a member of the Catholic church and a lifelong resident of Bay City. Survivors include four daughters, Louisa Balero of Houston, Connie Winkley of Bay City, Elvira Marin and Isabel Buran, both of Rosenberg; two sons, Jesus Herrera Jr. of Rosenberg and Joe Herrera of Bay City; a sister, Margaret Mindez of Lane City; 27 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild. Felix G. Juarez Felix “Chano” Juarez Funeral services for Felix “Chano” Juarez, 57, of Wadsworth will be held 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Taylor Brothers Funeral Home chapel. Burial will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. Mr. Juarez was born March 1, 1934, to Joe and Angelita Gutierrez Juarez in George West and died May 18, 1991, at his home. A lifelong resident of Matagorda County, he was a member of the Pentecostal church. He is survived by his father, Joe Juarez of Wadsworth; four sisters, Rosie Quintania and Eugenia Villarreal, both of Bay City, Olivia Cervantes of Van Vleck and Lupe Gamec of Harford; and six brothers, Edward Juarez and Mickey Juarez, both of Wadsworth, Joe Juarez Jr., Jessie Juarez and Benito Juarez, all of Bay City, and Fernando Juarez of Sugar Valley. Pallbearers are Bernadino Villarreal, Danny Quintania, Johnny Pedroza, Pete Cervantes III, Vincent Juarez, Gregoria Juarez Jr. and Ronald Gamez. Eusebio F. Lopez Eusebio Figueroa Lopez Eusebio Figueroa Lopez, 59, of Bay City passed away Nov. 12, 1996 at his residence. He was born Dec. 16, 1936 in Edna, Texas to Blas and Theresa Figueroa Lopez. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and had been a resident of Bay City since 1956. He is survived by his wife, Josephine Herrera Lopez of Bay City; by one daughter, Lora Sue Hernandez of Bay City; by four sisters, Virginia Roma and Dora Barios both of Vanderbilt, Texas, Eugenia Ruiz of Eagle Lake, and Porfidia Solis of El Campo; by three brothers, Juluin Lopez of San Jose, California, Daniel Lopez of Port Lavaca, and Eulalio Lopez of El Campo and by two granddaughters, Valerie Ann Hernandez and Marissa Araceli Hernandez both of Bay City. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Lupe and Blasito Lopez. A Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 14, 1996 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 15, 1996 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Edward Boren officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. Mr. Domingo Martinez of Houston, Texas passed away on November 30, 1996, at Methodist Hospital after a lengthy illness.
Mr. Martinez was born to Eusebio and Guadalupe Martinez on August 4, 1940, and raised in Bay City, Texas. He attended Bay City High School where he lettered in football and baseball. Upon graduating from Bay City High School, Mr. Martinez played in the Hispanic Semi-Pro Baseball League specifically for the Bay City Mustangs.
Left to mourn his passing is the mother of his children, Elodia Vega Martinez; two daughters, Laura and Fiancé, Roland C. Balderas; Pamela Susan Martinez; son, Raymond Norberto Martinez, and his most treasured grandson, Steven Ray Martinez, all of Houston, Texas.
Also surviving are his mother, Guadalupe P. Martinez of Bay City, Texas; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Gudelia M. Mendiola and Pedro B. Mendiola of Bay City, Mary M. Alvarez and Jose Antonio Alvarez of Houston, Esther J. Martinez of Bay City, Janie I. Martinez of Houston, Faustino L. Torres of Houston; one brother, Stephen Martinez of Houston; five nephews, Stephen Martinez and wife Patricia, David A. Alvarez and wife Patti, Albert A. Alvarez, Faustino M. Torres and Esteban P. Martinez, all of Houston; three paternal cousins, Antonio Martinez, Teresa Barrera and Porfirio Martinez, all of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico.
Other survivors include one uncle, Tom R. Perez and wife Barbara; two aunts, Frances G. Perez and Delores L. Perez, all of Bay City.
Also surviving is an extended family of nieces, nephews and cousins.
A Rosary will be recited Tuesday, December 3, 1996, at 7:00 PM at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 4, 1996, at 10:00 AM, with Rev. Edward Boren officiating.
Pallbearers are Tim Vega, Roland C. Balderas, Stephen Martinez, David A. Alvarez, Rodney Trevino and Roland Zarate.
Honorary pallbearers are Richard Zarate, Carlos B. Trevino, Matt Morales, Justin Moreno, Joe Moreno, Faustino M. Torres, Albert A. Alvarez, Esteban P. Martinez, Lupe Montoya and Bobby Acosta.

Funeral services for Telesforo C. Martinez, 84, of Bay City, will be held 2:00 PM Sunday at Taylor Brothers Funeral Home, with the Rev. F. P. Rujerio officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery.
A Prayer Service will be held at 7:30 PM today at the Taylor Brothers Funeral Home.
Mr. Martinez was born January 5, 1907, to Miguel and Juana Cruz Martinez in Mexico, and died October 4, 1991, at the Methodist Hospital in Houston.
A lifelong resident of Bay City, he retired from Texas Gulf Sulphur Company of New Gulf in 1969 with 46 years of service. He was also a member of El Buen Pastor Presbyterian Church of Bay City.
He is survived by: three daughters, Eliza M. Cortez of Bay City, Margarita M. Moreno of Houston, and Gloria M. McManus of Simi Valley, California; a son, Benito Martinez of Clinton, Mississippi; two sisters, Marcelina Benevides of San Antonio and Victoriana Mendoza of Freeport; two brothers, Guadalupe Martinez of Wisconsin and Maximiliano Martinez of Michigan; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by: his wife, Eliza S. Martinez, who died in April 1987.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Fermin and Martin Cortez, Juan Cortez Jr. and Marty Smith. His nephews, Samuel and David Martinez, will also serve as pallbearers.
Arrangements are with Taylor Brothers Funeral Home, Bay City.
