Herlinda Flores Herlina Flores, 64, of Bay City passed away March 28, 1996 at Matagorda General Hospital in Bay City. She was born Feb. 27, 1932 in Buckeye to Fabian and Lucy Valderamos Flores. She was a lifelong resident of Bay City and a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She is survived by one daughter, Yolanda Garcia of Bay City; by three sons, Johnny Flores, Sammy Flores and Abel Sanchez all of Bay City; by two sisters, Anita B. Flores and Genieve Garza both of Bay City; by nine grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Steven Flores in 1995. A rosary will be recited at 7 p. m. Friday, March 29 at Taylor Brothers Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10 a. m. Saturday, March 30 at Our Lady Of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Rev. Edward Boren officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City. Arrangements are with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City.

Steven Flores Steven Flores, 41, passed away July 26, 1995 at Southwest Memorial Hospital in Houston. He was born July 16, 1954 in Bay City. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He is survived by his mother, Linda Flores of Bay City; sister, Yolanda Garcia of Bay City; by two brothers, Johnny and Sammy Flores both of Bay City; by a brother-in-law, Rogelio Zamora of Bay City; by two sisters-in-law, Hope and Elida Flores both of Bay City, and by four nieces and nephews. A rosary will be said at 7:30 P. M. Friday, July 28, 1995 at Taylor Bros. Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A. M. Saturday, July 29, 1995, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Monsignor James Brunner officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers include, Joe John Yanez, Sr., Mario Luna, Jesse Sanchez, Joe Torres, Abel Sanchez, Mayo Garza, Randy Garza, and Christ Garza. Honorary pallbearers include, Martin Flores, Oscar Muniz, and Joe John Garza. Arrangements are with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in Bay City.

Raul Franco Jr. Raul Franco, Jr., 45, of Bay City, passed away Oct. 2, 1995, at Matagorda General Hospital in Bay City. He was born May 11, 1950 in Mathis, Texas, To Raul Franco Sr. and Sarah Zepeda Franco. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church and had been a resident of Bay City for 33 years. He graduated from Bay City High School in 1968 and attended Wharton County Junior College. He joined the Army and was discharged on Oct. 24, 1969. Survivors include his parents, Raul and Sarah Franco; his wife, Irene Franco, two daughters, Sylvia M. Franco and Crystal Franco; five sons, Raul Franco III, Shawn Franco, Anthony Sosa, Andrew Sosa and Manuel Sosa, all of Bay City; five sisters, Rachel Solis of Richwood, Ruth Littlefield of Bay City, Becky Ortiz of Bay City, Ruby Franco of Bay City and Sylvia Bartley of Brazoria and eight nieces and nephews. A rosary will be recited at 7 p. m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, 1995, at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held at 10 a. m. Wednesday, October 5, 1995 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with the Rev. Edward Boren officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers are Travis Littlefield, Ruben Solis, Manual Ortiz, Gary Bartley, Abel Cantu and Ricardo Cortinas Jr. Arrangements are with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home of Bay City.

Grace C. Garcia Grace C. Garcia Funeral services for Grace C. Garcia, 66, of Bay City will be held at 10 a. m. Friday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. W. D. Baker officiating. Burial will be in Cedarvale Cemetery. Mrs. Garcia was born Dec. 1, 1920, in Louisiana and died Dec. 17, 1986, at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she was a teacher of the Fidelis Sunday school class and a member of the Christian Women’s Club and WMU. Survivors include her husband, Judge Albert Garcia of Bay City; a son and daughter-in-law, Ramon and Olivia Garcia of Wichita Falls; a daughter, Donna Garcia of Bay City; a brother, Ernest Furqueron of Haywood, Calif., and four grandchildren. Pallbearers include Bob Allen, Bill Freeman, James Sowell, Gordon Hardegree, Jim Powers and Wayne Michael. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Fidelis Sunday school class. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Christian Ministries Center of First Baptist Church. Services are under the direction of Dick R. Elkins, Bay City Funeral Home.

Julia M. Garcia Julia M. Garcia Services for Julia M. Garcia of Bay City will be held at 11 a. m. Dec. 23 in Our Lady of Guadalupe Church with the Rev. J. P. Shannon officiating. Rosary will be recited at 7 tonight. Burial will be in Cedarvale Cemetery. Mrs. Garcia, 72, was born Jan. 19, 1911, in Cuero, Texas. She died in her home on Dec. 21, 1983. She was a resident of Bay City since 1949. She owned and operated La Palma Café for many years, and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by two sons, Mack Garcia Jr., of Houston and Kenneth Garcia of Bay City; one sister, Annie Martinez of Bay City; two brothers, Albert Garcia of Bay City and Robert Garcia of Houston; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Taylor Brothers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mack E. Garcia, Jr. Mark [Mack] Garcia Jr. Funeral services for Mark Garcia Jr., 66, of Houston, are scheduled for 10 a. m. Mr. Garcia was born June 4, 1928, in Houston, to Mark Garcia Sr. and Julia Morales Garcia and died Nov. 18, 1994, in San Antonio. Formerly of Bay City, he was a resident of Houston for the past 27 years, a member of the Catholic church and a veteran of the U. S. Navy. Survivors include four sons, Mark Garcia III, Richard Garcia Sr. and Phillip T. Garcia, all of Houston and Jorge Garcia of San Antonio; a brother, Kenneth Garrison of Corpus Christi; seven grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Pallbearers are Ray Garcia, Leon Moreno, Jorge Garcia, Richard G. Garcia Sr., Danny Garza, Pasquel Martinez and Charlie Rodriguez. Honorary pallbearers will be the 1945 Crozier Tech City Championship Football Team and John Woolsey and Connie Hale. Arrangements are with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home of Bay City.

She was a lifelong resident of Bay City and a member of the El Buen Pastor Presbyterian Church. Survivors include her husband, Joe G. Garcia Jr. of Bay City; her mother, Margarita Ochoa Silva; two daughters, Irma Garcia of Harrisonville, Mo. and Lidia Garcia of Bay City; two sons, Steven Garcia and Israel Garcia, both of Bay City; two sisters, Eulalia Garcia of Houston and Inez Belaquez of San Antonio; four brothers, Steven O. Leonides B. Garza, 82, of Mission, Texas passed away Oct. 10, 1995 at Matagorda General Hospital in Bay City. He was born May 20, 1913 in China, Nuevo Leon, Mexico to Emilie and Jacinta Benevides Garza. He was a lifelong resident of Mission and a member of the Baptist Church in Alton, Texas. He is survived by three daughters, Sylvia Garza of Bay City, Herlinda Garza and Olga Bryant Garza both of Ohio; by six sons, Rudy Garza of Markham, Ray Garza of Collingwood, Tennessee, Ramiro Garza of Troop, Texas, Leon Garza of Bay City, Raul Medina Garza of Amarillo, Texas, and James Garza of Bay City; by one brother, Amado Garza of Mission, Texas; and by 42 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Sofia Mercado Garza in 1945, his second wife, Refujia Medina Garza in 1983, and by one son Raul Garza. A prayer service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 11, 1995 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 12, 1995 at Taylor Bros. He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Ruben Campos of Katy and Melba and Johnny Sanchez of Wharton; by five sons, Jimmy Garza of Alvin, Alex Garza Jr. of El Campo, Ezekiel Garza of Bay City, Danny Garza of Victorville, Calif, and Clem Garza of Bay City; one Brother, Julio Garza and his wife, Jo, of Angleton; and 21 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
