Honorable John E. Linn, one of Bay City’s oldest and most highly respected citizens, died at his home in this city yesterday morning at 10:30 o’clock and was buried in Cedarvale Cemetery this afternoon at 4 o’clock. Mr. Linn was 65 years, 3 months and 6 days of age, and is survived by a devoted wife and several children. He had been confined to his bed for several weeks.
Decedent was a member of the law firm of Linn & Austin, and has figured prominently in the legal profession of the city and county for the past several years. He was one of the best public speakers the county ever had and had been prominent in the politics of this section, at one time serving this district in the capacity of state senator.
The Tribune will have more to say about the life of Mr. Linn as soon as it is able to get facts connected with his life and activities.
We join the family’s host of friends in a genuine expression of sympathy in this, their keenest bereavement.

Charles Longuet The remains of Chas. Longuet were accompanied to Bay City this morning by the bereaved family and a large number of sympathetic friends. At the outskirts of the city the procession was met by a column of Woodmen, badged in mourning, and conducted to the Presbyterian church, where an impressive funeral service was conducted by Rev. L. E. Selfridge. From the church the cottage moved to Cedarvale cemetery where the body of the deceased sovereign was laid to rest by the Woodmen of the World. The body was embalmed by Undertaker Rader of Markham and was conveyed to Bay City, in the funeral car from the Walker undertaking establishment.

Corinne Miller In the death of Miss Corinne Miller, who was buried at our city cemetery Tuesday afternoon, one of the Lord’s truest saints passed to her reward. Miss Miller was born in Alabama in 1852 and was brought to Texas early in life. She was converted at a camp meeting at Ashby in 1886, and lived a life consistent with her profession to the time of her death at the residence of Mrs. Kate Moore on Monday afternoon. She was a first cousin of Mrs. Moore’s husband, the late Capt. William E. Moore, and of D. P. Moore of this city, and leaves no relatives outside the Moore family, with whom she had made her home for forty years. Rev. J. F. Carter, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiated at the funeral.
