December 13, 1898 – June 12, 1986
Clara Tennis LeTulle, member of a prominent pioneer Texas family, died June 12, 1986, at Gulf Coast Medical Center, Wharton.
Mrs. LeTulle, daughter of William and Daisy Thomas Tennis, was born in Brazoria December 13, 1898. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and a resident of Bay City for 62 years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Victor LeTulle, and by her son, Sam Victor LeTulle, Jr.
She is survived by: her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William F. Green of Bay City; grandson and granddaughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William F. Green III of Houston; and great-grandsons, Victor LeTulle Green and William Hammett Green of Houston.
Services for Mrs. LeTulle were scheduled for 4:00 PM Saturday at First United Methodist Church, with the Rev. W. E. Dugger, Jr. officiating. Burial was to follow at Cedarvale Cemetery, Bay City.
Pallbearers include John L. Camp, John H. Wilson, Frank H. Lewis, Russell Law, James M. Allen, Raleigh Huebner, Robert Wilkinson, Jr., William N. Finnegan, William B. Ferguson, Rugeley Ferguson and Leonard H. Cornelius.
Arrangements are with Taylor Brothers Funeral Home.

Harvey Wesley Mangum May 20, 1900 – February 26, 1991
Funeral services for Harvey W. Mangum, 90, of Bay City, will be held 10:00 AM Thursday at the Taylor Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dan Villarreal and the Rev. Marvin Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarvale Cemetery in Bay City.
Mr. Mangum was born May 20, 1900, to William Arthur and Lola R. Lee Mangum in Bay City, and died February 26, 1991, at Matagorda General Hospital. He was a lifelong resident of Bay City.
He is survived by: his daughter, Doris Wallace of Bay City; two stepdaughters, Ramona Davis of Palestine and Colona Lafferty of Houston; seven grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great grandchildren; three step-grandchildren and one great step-grandchild.
His great-grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements are with Taylor Brothers Funeral Home, Bay City.

Pearl Lee Mangum Mrs. Pearl Mangum, Lifelong Resident in County, Dies Saturday Mrs. Pearl Mangum, 74, relict of the late Sheriff Joe Mangum, died in a Houston hospital, Saturday morning at 5 o’clock. Mrs. Mangum was a life-long resident of Matagorda County. She had seen the county grow and had contributed to its religious and cultural growth by active participation in her younger years. She is survived by: four daughters, Mrs. Maude Beal and Mrs. Charles Slater of Bay City, and Mrs. Thelma Bass and Mrs. Joe Bass of Houston; one son, Ted Mangum of Hungerford. Funeral services were held today from the Presbyterian Church with Taylor Bros. Funeral Home in charge. The Rev. Ernest Deutsch officiated. Burial was in Cedarvale Cemetery. Pallbearers were A. Harris, Jr., D. R. Chapman, C. J. Bass, Charles Slater, Maurice Broughton, and Dr. Charles Shoultz.

Joe Milner Joe Milner, 77, retired Post Office Department worker. Funeral service 10:00 AM Tuesday, at the First Methodist Church with the Rev. Conrad Winborn officiating. Burial will be in Cedarvale Cemetery under the direction of Taylor Brothers Funeral Home. Milner is survived by a sister, Miss Bernice Milner of Bay City. He was a member of the First Methodist Church, the Board of Stewards of the First Methodist Church, secretary of the Wesley Bible Class, a Mason and a Shriner and a member of the Bay City Lions Club. Bernice Shine Milner Funeral services for Miss Bernice (Shine) Milner, 84, of Grapevine, Texas, have been scheduled for 2:00 PM Tuesday, at First United Methodist Church in Bay City, with the Rev. Leslie LeGrand officiating. Interment will be in Cedarvale Cemetery. Miss Milner, born December 20, 1899, in Milner, Arkansas, died January 8, 1984, in Grapevine. A member of First United Methodist Church, she resided in Bay City from 1909 until 1973. Miss Milner retired from Bay City Bank and Trust and was a member of the Fellowship Class of the First United Methodist Church, and the Eastern Star. In addition, she was charter president of the Bay City Pilot Club. She is survived by: two nieces, Sallie M. Salas of Bay City and Dr. Alice N. Milner of Lake Dallas, Texas; a nephew, John W. Milner of Bay City; and, numerous nieces and nephews in Arkansas. In lieu of usual contributions, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church. Funeral arrangements are with Taylor Brothers Funeral Homee.

Joe Junior Parada, 20, went to be with our Lord on Sunday, May 24, 2015. He was born March 11, 1995 in Bay City, Texas to Joe Parada, Sr. and Patricia Garcia-Vega. Joey was very special to everyone who knew him, because of his ability to love any and everyone without fault. Joey is survived by his parents; his only child, daughter Josilynn Elena Parada and her loving mother Cecilia Rodriguez; sister Brittany Parada; brother Mark Anthony Vega; grandparents Juan and Manuela Vega; maternal grandparents Manuel and Rosa Parada; niece Arisela Cervantes and many, many, other aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Donations would be greatly appreciated in their time of bereavement. The family will receive visitors from 3-8pm, with a 6:30 Rosary, Sunday, May 31, 2015 at Taylor Bros. Funeral Home. Man charged
with murder, assault
A knife-wielding suspect led the scene of the crime immediately after stabbing four individuals on Sunday, May 24 at the Bay Breeze Apartments located on the 800 block of Avenue F. One of the victims, 20-year-old Joe Junior Parada, died of his wounds. A 911 emergency call was made to the Bay City Police Department dispatch at 11:46 a.m. in reference to a disturbance and a man with a knife.
Officers arrived
at the scene and initially discovered two victims who had been
stabbed on the property.
While making a sweep to check apartment 184, officers located a fourth stab wound victim on the floor of the apartment.
EMS personnel arrived, transporting one victim to Matagorda Regional Medical Center for emergency medical attention.
Two of the victims with more severe injuries were air lifted to a Houston hospital.
The fourth victim, who was identified as Joe Junior Parada of Bay City succumbed to his injuries and was later pronounced dead by Matagorda County Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 Judge Suzan Thompson.
The suspect in the case, Kleon Dashawn Howell, 27, was apprehended in Houston the same day and is charged with one count of murder, two charges of aggravated assault/deadly weapon family violence and one charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Howell is currently in custody in the Matagorda County Jail with bond set at $100,000 for each charge, with a total bond of $400,000.
