Bessie May Hatchett Death of Wadsworth Pupil A dark shadow hung over our room Monday as we resumed our work in the Wadsworth school there was one missing we could not recall. It was hard to realize as we went about our tasks, that it was an absence that would continue. When Bessie Mae Hatchett was rushed to the hospital at Gulf, we, as a student body, grieved for fear of her death. Bessie Mae was one of our most beloved pupils. She was like a sweet little flower. Her face always wore a smile of sunshine which we shall lock away in our hearts as a dear memory of our classmate and pupil. We have the greatest sympathy for the bereaved, but in our hearts there is a great consolation and joy for we feel Bessie Mae is no more a dear little child on earth—but an Angel in Heaven.—A Friend.
