NOTES AND PERSONALS

From Friday’s Daily

Four grading gangs are at work constructing the grade for the Collegeport extension of the Gulf Coast Line Buckeye branch, and the contractors, Johnston Bros., are under contract to complete that part of the work by May 2_h. Material for the track has commenced to arrive at Buckeye, and as the track gang will lay a mile of track per day when they begin work, it is practically certain that the new line will be in service by the middle of June. This is cheering news for the people of the Collegeport section, who have hundreds of acres of various crops growing, much of which will be ready for shipping by June 15th.
