The repairs on the First Christian Church in Ganado have been completed, except for the third coat of paint to be applied on the wood work outside the building. We cordially invite you and your friends to come worship with us and enjoy the fellowship in the new surroundings that these new repairs bring us…

Ozrow Kemerly, Minister March 1st, this year, we called Ozrow Kemerly and wife to be the ministers of our church here in Ganado. Our minister hales from the State of Indiana. Born and reared there, he is a natural born Hoosier, but Mrs. Kemerly was born and reared in Texas, hence these two great states have furnished us a wonderful working team. Brother Kemerly is bringing us the good old time Gospel messages, and Mrs. Kemerly is doing a wonderful work with our young people. She has organized the Christian Endeavor and has twenty-one in her singing class, and those who hear them sing often remark: “How wonderful they sing; and how does she get so much music out of them?” Our minister has had five and a half years college and university work; also has studied law and admitted to the bar. He knows the Bible and is an able preacher. His messages are not only inspiring, but very helpful. During the two short months our minister and his wife have been with us, our church has made fine progress and the attendance increased and our members are working as never before. All this is accounted for by the untiring efforts of the minister and his wife who have made 136 calls in various homes the last four weeks. Mrs. Kemerly is the youngest daughter of the late Rev. M. K. Fred, who was one of the leading Methodist ministers of the State of Texas, and it was during his ministry in Edna that the present fine brick Methodist Church was built and at that time Mrs. Kemerly lived in Edna and attended public school there, and later attended San Marcos, Texas, College. With these untiring workers with us, it is our prayer that we all join hands and so work together that the tears of Jesus will be turned to smiles.—Contributed
