Stall was born Elizabeth Small on June 27, 1855 in Indiana and finished her earthly journey in Blessing, Texas, August 20. When she was a tiny tot her parents moved to Iowa, at about the age of 10 she again moved and this time to Nebraska where she grew up and married. It was during these years in Nebraska that she became a Christian and a member of the Baptist Church. In 1911 she with her husband and family moved to Texas coming to Francitas where in 1931 Mr. Stall passed away. Since that time she has made her home in this area living most of the time with one of her daughters, Mrs. Vida Metcalfe. To Mr. and Mrs. Stall were born four children, two boys and two girls. Both of the boys have died but the two daughters remain to weep the going of their mother. Mrs. Metcalfe is now living in Blessing while the other daughter, Mrs. Maggie Alberts lives in Omaha, Nebraska. There are five grand-children and great-grand-children who are left to miss their loved one. Mrs. Stall was a most humble Christian mother. She was quite active in her Church as long as her health would permit being for many years a teacher of primary children in the Sunday School. She was also a member of the Kings Daughters while residing in Collegeport. Her life's ambition was to serve those who had need of her kindness. It was a joy to her to sit with and minister to the sick and sorrowing. Surely the Lord's Blessings have been on her seeing she has lived to the great age of 30 years. Funeral services were held at the Baptist Church at 3:00 P. M., August 22, with Rev. L. W. Crouch officiating and Taylor Brothers in charge, with burial in the Palacios Cemetery.
