"Here is a picture of my dear Aunt and Uncle, who retired back to the Perry farm near Piedmont, and died there in Grimes County.

Photographed were Maudie Perry Lands, and John S. Lands. Maudie's father was Selser Perry; her mother, Ella Turner. Her grandfather was Gardner D. PerryI, and her grandmother was Sue Richards Perry. Her great-grandfather was Dr. Ducalion A. Perry of Washington County, TX, and his wife was Eunice E. Gardner (Little) Perry, who later married a Sherman.

Maudie Perry and John S. Lands are buried with other Lands in the Erwin Cemetery. . . "
