This cemetery has nearly been lost. Mervin and I believe this to be the same cemetery listed on some maps as "MacCedar". In addition, after I did some research on death certificates for some of the people buried here, it might have been known as "St. Louis Cemetery". This cemetery is an African American cemetery. Dates are transcribed from stones with some help from Texas death certificates online.
Directions - Take Hwy. 244 from Carlos to Iola. As you enter Iola, turn left on CR 108. At the intersection with CR 103, take a left. The cemetery is located a short distance on the right with a chain link fence and gate and a newly placed sign.
