The Herald Democrat January 6, 2011 Sherman - Phyllis Jean Hollenbeck, 80, of Sherman passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at Texas Presbyterian Health-WNJ. Dannel Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Services were held Friday, January 7, 2011 at St. Stephen's Episcopal Church with Father Martin Yost officiating. Interment was in West Hill Cemetery Mausoleum. Phyllis was born April 15, 1930, in Ashland, Kentucky, the daughter of Arnold D. and E. Ann Minnihan Yates. After completing high school, she attended the Institute of Applied Science where she studied criminology. She married William J. Hollenbeck December 27, 1957 in Charleston, West VIrginia. She was a professional secretary and after retirement, a homemaker/caregiver. Phyllis had membership in the Episcopal Church, Professional Secretaries International, and the National Rifle Association. Precedeased by her parents, her husband, and a brother, Edward Yates, Phyllis is survived by son, Dennis W. Hollenbeck and wife, B.J., of Chugiak, Alaska; daughter, Cynthia J. Towers and husband, Robert, of Van Alstyne; two grandchildren, Catherine and Jennifer Towers; a brother-in-law, Ralph Hollenbeck and wife, Loretta, of Hendersonville, North Carolina.
