West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas William Jefferson Blythe, Sr. 21 January 1884 - 5 February 1935 Sherman Democrat William Jefferson Blythe, 51, died at his home five miles north of Sherman Tuesday at 10:40 a.m. Funeral services will be held from the family residence Wednesday at 2 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Claud Johnston of North Park Baptist Church. The Rev. Ray Short of Whiterock Baptist Church will assist. Talley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Interment will be in West Hill Cemetery. Mr. Blythe was born in Ripley, MIss. in January 1884, coming to Texas in 1910 and locating near Howe. He had lived in Grayson County since that time and had been at his present residence for the last 14 years. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. BIrchie Blythe; sons, Clifford of Route 2, Sherman; W.J., Ernest, and Glen at home; five daughters, Mrs. Lloyd Lindsteadt, and Miss Maurine Blythe of Denison, and Misses Cora, Lucille and Vera Lee Blythe at home; his mother Mrs. Fannie Blythe; three grandchildren of Van Alstyne; one brother Hardy Blythe of Van Alstyne and five sisters, including Mrs. Cleve Enochs of Van Alstyne, Pallbearers will be Perry Waldrop, Bob May, Thompson Ashburn, Charles Wright, M.L. Savage and John Cavender. Glen Hardy Blythe 13 September 1927 - 23 November 1986 Sherman Democrat Graveside services will be held in West Hill Cemetery for Glen Hardy Blythe, 59, former Sherman resident who died Sunday at his Rusk County home after a brief illness. Bryant Funeral Home of Henderson is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Blythe was born in Sherman, a son of William J. and Birchie Lou Ayers Blythe. A former Texas Instruments security guard, he was retired and had lived in Henderson two years. Surviving are a daughter, Glenda Scott of Tulsa, Okla.; son, Larry Glen Blythe of The Colony; sisters, Vera Lee Ramey of Sherman and Pauline Linsteadt of Denison; and four grandchildren.
