West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas Noble Allan Birge 31 May 1832 - 17 November 1902 Virginia Jennings Birge 22 January 1854 - 2 January 1930 January 2, 1930 Mrs. Virginia F. Birge, Pioneer Woman, Dies Mrs. Virginia F. Birge, age 74 years, a member of one of the most honored pioneer families of Grayson county, died at her home on West Birge street at 11:00 o'clock Thursday morning. She was the widow of the late Captain N. A. Birge, who died here in 1902. She was born three miles north of Sherman, the daughter of Jeff Jennings, and had made her home here throughout her life. Funeral services are to be held at the family residence, 523 Birge street, at 3 o'clock Friday afternoon. Dr. J. A. Ellis, pastor of the First Baptist Church, is to be the officiating minister. Interment will be in West Hill cemetery. Mrs. Birge is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Jesse F. Hold and Mrs. M. C. Dorset, of Sherman; three sons, Fred Birge, and N. A. Birge of Sherman and John B. Birge of La Mesa, and a number of grandchildren.
