Whitesboro News September 6, 1889 John Fitch, who lived near Collinsville, died at Gainesville Monday from an over dose of morphine. He was feeling unwell, and took a dose of the drug. That not having the desired effect, he took another and died in a short time, despite the efforts of medaid.
