Allen Sherman Daily Register October 19, 1886 MRS. T.J. ALLEN DEAD Information was received in the city today of the daughter of Mrs. Allen, wife of Dr. T.J. Allen of Caddo, I.T. Her brother-in-law, our fellow townsman, left today at noon and the remains will be brought to the city for interment in the city cemetery tomorrow. This is the fifth member of Mrs. Allen's family that have died within the year and this last blow falls with an increased force on the bereaved mother who has been called upon to follow so many of her children to the grave in so short a time. Mrs. Allen was born and raised up to womanhood in Sherman and has many friends who will be sad to har of her death. We extend our sympathies to the bereaved relatives. Sherman Daily Register October 20, 1886 The funeral of Mrs. T.J. Allen, wife of Dr. T.J. Allen of Caddo, I.T., will take place from the Union passenger depot this afternoon at four o'clock. The services will be said at the cemetery. The cold sod will rest tonight over a good and true woman, and may the grasses and flowers ever come to breathe their perfume of the last resting place of one whom earth profited by calling her its child. To the bereaved relatives and to her friends here, of whom she had a host, the Register extends its deepest sympanthies and the hope that when they too shall have crossed over the valley of shadows, there may be a reunion from which no one can tear them.
