Alexander 26 June 1922 - 13 July 1992 US Air Force WWII Vivien Lorene Alexander, 82, of Georgetown, formerly of Sherman, went to be with the Lord on January 20, 2008. Lorene was born on January 25, 1925 to James Alvin and Mary Isabel Bradshaw Worsham in Leonard, Texas. She graduated from high school in Whitewright, Texas and married Doyle D. Alexander on April 16, 1946. She was a loving homemaker, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and Sunday School teacher. She was a member of Forest Avenue Baptist Church in Sherman. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents. She is survived by her two sons, Jerry Alexander and wife, Lavinyar, of Georgetown and Richard Alexander of Austin; brother, Doyce Worsham and wife, Robbie, of Whitewright; sister Oleta Owen and husband, Troy, of Sherman; aunt, Bertha Holloway of Sherman; 5 grandchildren, Micheal Alexander and wife, Sabrina' Susan Shuffield and husband, Alan' Jeffery Alexander and wife, Kerry, all of Georgetown' Michelle Alexander of South Carolina and Erick Alexander of Austin; 6 great-grandchildren, Melisa, Brody, Justin, and Joshua Alexander, Cody and Clayton Shuffield all of Georgetown and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services were held Wednesday morning, January 23, 2008 at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman. Rev. Hubert Long of Sherman officiated. Pallbearers were Micheal Alexander, Jeffery Alexander, Alan Shuffield, Erick Alexander, Wayne Bird, and Larry Williams. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to Lighthouse Hospice, 2913 Williams Drive, Suite 320, Georgetown, Texas 78628. Waldo Funeral Home. July 16, 1992 Doyle Denton Alexander, 70 year old retired International Business Machine employee of Sherman, died Monday at Wilson N. Jones Hospital. Services were held Wednesday morning in Waldo Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Stan Fornea of the First Baptist Church officiating. Burial was in West Hill Cemetery. Mr. Alexander was born in Whitewright, son of Oscar Gross Alexander and Amy Dee Jones Alexander, and graduated from Whitewright High School. On April 16, 1946 he marrked Vivian Lorene Worsham in Trenton. A World War II Air Force veteran, he served from 1942 to 1946. He had been employed in the IBM accounting offices in both Sherman and and Dallas and retired in 1987 after 25 years of service. He was a member of the IBM Quarter Century Club and Forest Avenue Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife; sons, Jerry Alexander of Georgetown and Richard Alexander of Austin; stepmother, Edith Alexander of Whitewright; brother, Lloyd Alexander of Whitewright; sister, Loretta Jackman of Cedar Creek; stepsister, Rozena Baumgartner of Colorado; 4 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
