Graveside services for Dorothy L. Johnson, age 96 of Sherman, were held at 2:00 PM Saturday, November 17, 2007 in the Memorial Park section of  West Hill Cemetery. She died Friday morning, November 16, 2007 at  Whitesboro Health and Rehab Center.
Rev. Neill S. Morgan, pastor of Covenant Presbyterian Church, officiated and arrangements were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home.
Dorothy was born in Sherman on January 27, 1911, the daughter of Charles M. Matlock and Minnie Morgan Matlock. She was a graduate of Sherman High School and Austin College and was a school teacher in Sherman. She married Harry L. Johnson on June 25, 1941 in Sherman. He preceded her in death February 1, 1998.
Surviving is a sister, Doris Weller and her husband Ken of Sherman; niece, Karma Nichols and her husband James of Van Alstyne; nephews, Eddie Canada and Scott Canada of the Dallas area. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, George Matlock and Guy Matlock.
