Edwards 1879 - 1975 Lena Edwards 1881 - 1941 The Denison Press Saturday, September 27, 1941 pg. 1 Mrs. Lena Edwards, 59, died this morning at 11 o'clock at her home, 100 W. Acheson. Her husband survives. Funeral services to be in charge of the Denison Funeral Home are pending. Mrs. Edwards is a native of Grayson county and was born November 11, 1882 [sic]. She was married to W.H. Edwards, a farmer, at Sherman on December 16, 1899. Surviving other than her 2 sons, R.C. Edwards of Norfolk, Virginia and W.H. Edwards, Jr. of Sherman; 2 daughters, Mrs. Opal Morris of Sherman, route 1, and Mrs. Jettie Pennington of Monahans; a brother, Jake Cherry, of Sherman; 3 sisters, Mrs. Carey Calhoun of Vernon; Mrs. Mary Stark of Sherman; and Mrs. Claudia Crane of Houston; 11 grandchildren and on great-grandchild.
