Geo. W. Stewart died at his home on W. Tennessee Street, this city, Saturday night after an illness of several weeks with typhoid fever.
The funeral took place from the residence at 4 o'clock yesterday afternoon and a large number of friends were in attendance. 
The deceased had lived here for many years, was an active business man and honest and upright in his dealings.  He leaves a wife and children to mourn his loss.
