Whitewright (Spl) - Funeral services for Hoyt H. Taylor, 81, retired attorney, whose death occurred Thursday morning, November 23, 1961, in a Sherman, Texas hospital, were held at the Earnheart Funeral chapel here Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock.  Officiating at the services wwere Rev. O.C. Dooley, pastor of the Whitewright Presbyterian church, assisted by Rev. P.D. McGibboney, Presbyterian minister from Texarkana.  Interment was in West Hill cemetery at Sherman.
Born August 3, 1880, at Anniston, Alabama, the son of Dr. and Mrs. B. Taylor, he was married on April 20, 1920, in Sherman to Miss Caroline Ball, who survives him.
Mr. Taylor was a member of the First Presbyterian church and was a graduate of Austin College at Sherman and Cumberland Law School, Cumberland, Tennessee.  He had practiced law in Texarkana until July 3, 1955, when he retired and came to Whitewright to live.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by one nephew.
