 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas  Sherwin Lee Dixon 20 December 1942 - 14 April 2010  The Herald Democrat April 18, 2010 Sherwin L. Dixon, 67, of Sherman, passed away on April 14, 2010, at WNJ Medical Center. Graveside services under the direction of Dannel Funeral Home, will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, April 19, 2010, at West Hill Cemetery with Rev. Larry Myers officiating. The family will be at the funeral home on Sunday, April 18, 2010 4-6 p.m. Sherwin was born December 20, 1942, in Big Spring, TX, to Orvell Cathey and Christine Jones Cox. She attended school in Sherman. Sherwin worked as an office manager for Custom Trim Upholstery. Sherwin was a member of the Elks Lodge, American Legion, and AmVets. She was an avid Nascar fan. Sherwin was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Theresa Dixon. She is survived by three sons, Bill Dixon Jr. of Sherman, Mark Dixon and wife Jamie of Sherman and Jean-Marcel Dixon of Sherman; two daughters, Tanya Grossman and husband Brian of Howe and Tina Myers and husband Paul of Denison; a brother, Ronnie Cathey of Pottsboro; 7 grandchildren, Erin Dixon, Michael Dixon, Chandra Ivey, Cody Cripe, Paul Ridgedell, Bailey Myers and Maranda Moon; four great-grandchildren, Hallie Dixon, Hunter Dixon, Payton Cole and Crystalynn Cole; nephew, Todd Cathey; and great-nieces.
