Sherman - Graveside funeral services for Evelyn "Beth" Dossey will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday October 2 at West Hill Cemetery. Her two grandsons, Rev. James Duke of the First Baptist Church of Los Alamos and Rev. Greg Duke of the First Southern Church of Pueblo will officiate with services under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Mrs. Dossey, 93, passed away Sunday September 26 at the Mullican Care Center in Savoy. 
Beth was born February 22, 1917 in Denison, Texas to the late Byron and Mattie (Schragg) Robinson and worked as teacher until she married James Dossey on August 30, 1939 in Booneville, Missouri. She and James were married nearly 49 years when he passed away in July 1988. Mrs. Dossey was a longtime member of Fairview Baptist Church and an avid button collector. 
She is survived by one daughter, Betty Duke of Truth or Consequences, NM; one son, Jack Dossey and his wife Judy of Ector; three grandchildren, James Duke of Los Alamos, NM, Greg Duke of Pueblo, CO, and Amy Kindred of Frisco; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a son-in-law, Dan Duke. 
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor's choice.
