Andrews to be Buried at Sherman Special to the News Sherman, Texas, Aug. 21 - Mrs. Missouri Bullock Andrews, pioneer resident of Sherman, died Saturday morning at 3 o'clock at her home, 818 North Travis street. Funeral services will be held from the residence Sunday afternoon at 6 o'clock, conducted by the Rev. Emmett Davison, pastor of the Central Christian Church. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery, Mrs. Andrews had made her home in Sherman all of her life. She was born Oct.16, 1853. She was the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. R.L. Bullock, who were among the first settlers in Sherman. Her older brother, Judge William Bullock of Boulder, Colo., who survives her, was the first male child born in Sherman. She was married to the late Capt. Chilton Allen Andrews Oct. 15, 1870. To the union were born the following children, who survive her. L.T. Andrews, Sherman; Mrs. Ray Wheatley, Amarillo; Mrs. Charles Fisk, Amarillo; and Mrs. Alvin Hill, Denton. She is also survived by the following brothers and sisters: Judge William Bullock, Boulder, Colo.; Eugene Bullock, Charlie Bullock and Mrs. Bell Cushman, all of Dallas. For the last fifty years Mrs. Andrews had lived at her home on North Travis street. She had been in apprantently good health for the last few days and was ill only a short time before she died Saturday morning. Dallas Morning News Tuesday, May 13, 1941 Section 1, pg. 4 RETIRED BUSINESSMAN DIES; RITES TUESDAY Sherman, Texas, May 12 - Rites will be conducted Tuesday afternoon for L.T. Andrews, 68, retired businessman who died at a local hospital. The Rev. George A. Tocher, rector of the St. Stephen's Episcopal Church, will officiate, assisted by Dr. A.R. Holton, minister of the Walnut Street Church of Christ. Burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. Mr. Andrews was born Oct. 21, 1872, in Sherman. He was instrumental in developing the Preston Drive residential section. Survivors besides his wife, include a son Alan Andrews, a research chemist in the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and three sisters, Mrs. Roy Wheatley, Mrs. Charles Fisk, and Mrs. Alvin Hill of Amarillo.
