  Walter F. Martin 13 February 1894 - 12 November 1954 Texas PFC 491st SVC Park Unit MTC WWI March 30, 1989 MARTIN Services for Velma Martin, 95, were held Monday in Dannel Funeral Home in Sherman with burial in West Hill Cemetery. She died riday in Wilson N. Jones Hospital in Sherman. Mrs. Martin was born in the Ida community, a daughter of john Daniel Smith and Sarah Moletha Gray Smith, and married Frank Martin on December 18, 1917 in Fannin County. She was a member of the Ida Baptist Church. Surviving are his (sic) son, Quinton Martin of Denver, Colo., daughter, Sara Jones of Tom Bean; brother J.D.Smith of Van Alstyne; sisters Maudie Prichard, Zelma Yoast and Frankie Nelson of Sherman; two grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. The family suggests that those who wish may make memorials to the Ida Baptist Church.
