The Whitewright Sun Friday, March 12, 1920 pg.4 Sherman, March 4 - News of the death of Jim Batsell, a son of the late C.W. Batsell of this city, and a brother to Billie Batsell of Sherman, at his home in Brownsville yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, was received here late yesterday. Mr. Batsell, who is 54 years of age, was born at Pilot Grove in this county and lived in Sherman until twelve years ago, when he went to Brownsville to accept an appointment as special officer on the border for the Federal government. The remains will be shipped to Sherman for burial, arriving here tomorrow morning at 10:50 o'clock over the H. & T.C. Funeral service will be held from the Union passenger station, followed by burial in West Hill Cemetery. Mr. Batsell is survived by his wife, Mrs. Fannie Batsell; by two sons, Hurt and Harold Batsell; and a daughter, Miss Stella May Batsell. News of his death was received here with genuine regret.
