Bernetta "Ned" Dickerman Wilder, 102, of Sherman, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019.  A  celebration of her life was held Saturday morning, January 26, 2019 in the Dannel Funeral Home chapel in Sherman.  Rev. Roy Spore of Friendship United Methodist Church officiated.
Ned was born October 4, 1916 in Sherman, daughter of Lucius L. and Josephine McCoy Dickerman.  She graduated from Sherman High School in 1934 and worked as the accountant and bookkeeper for the former Halls Furniture in Sherman for 49 years.  She married Sherman Wilder on August 5, 1945 and the couple helped raise the 9 siblings of Sherman Wilder.  They had no children of their own.
As a lifetime member of Friendship United Methodist Church, Ned served as a Sunday School teacher, secretary, treasurer and in any other capacity needed.   She was also well-known for her handwork and quilting.  For numerous years, she loved spending every Tuesday quilting with her friends.
Ned was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sister, Mary Ruth; her best friend, Dorthell Scott; and several nieces and nephews. 
She is survived by her sister-in-law, Nadine Zaruba of San Angelo; numerous nieces and nephews who cherished her kind heart and quick wit.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Friendship United Methodist Church, Sherman; Home Hospice of Grayson County or Meals on Wheels Texoma.
