RESIDENT OF GRAYSON COUNTY 44 YEARS DIES
Wilburn Henry Hall 69 retired farmer and resident of Grayson county
44 years, died at 6 a.m.today, January 19, 1946, of a heart attack. He
was at the home of his son, L.E. Hall of route 2 Denison.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the Waldo Chapel
with the J.E. King , Denison Baptist minister officiating, assisted by
the Rev. R.R. Davis, pastor of the Pilot Point Baptist Church. Burial will
be in the West Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Hall was born in Missouri April 4, 1876. He came to Grayson county
in 1901 and was married here to Miss Minnie Porter on January 2, 1908.
He had farmed in this area many years, retiring in 1944. He was a member
of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are six other sons, George Hall of Pilot Point, Ray, Carl
and Burl all of Fort Worth, Bill and Shelley Hall both of Denison, and
nine grandchildren.
Mrs. Minnie Hall, 65, died at 12:05 a.m. at her home, Denison route
three, six miles north of Sherman. Funeral services are incomplete waiting
the arrival of a son in the army. Interment will be in the West Hill Cemetery
directed by Waldo.
Mrs. Hall was born September 18, 1878 in Grayson County, the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. George Porter. She was married January 2, 1908 in Sherman
to W. H. Hall, and was a member of the Church of Christ.Survivors are her husband, seven sons, Lawrence and Shelley Hall
of Denison, George Hall of Pilot Point, Ray and Burl Hall of Fort Worth,
Carl Hall of Sherman route three and William E. Hall with the air corps
in North Carolina; five brothers, P.M. Porter of Sherman; Jim and William
Porter of Denison route two; C.H. Porter of Sherman; George Ed Porter of
Denison route two; four sisters, Mrs. G. M. Terry of Sherman route three;
Mrs. H. E. Orr of Sherman route one; Miss Lizzie Porter and Miss Lottie
Porter of Denison route two; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services were held for Mrs. Minnie Hall, who died Wednesday
at her home, Denison route 3, will be held Sunday at 2:30 p.m., at the
Waldo funeral chapel. Interment will be in the West Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be J.T. Ashburn and Will Clarke of Sherman and F.
H. Stallcup, Haskell Luck, Bill Barnett and Johnny Clark of Denison.
