McAllister 18 April 1937 - 13 November 1996  The Herald Democrat June 13, 2013 Sherman - Funeral services for Winford Gerald McAllister, 74, of Sherman were held Friday, June 14, 2013 graveside at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman. Arrangements were under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home, Sherman. He passed away Monday, June 20, 2013 at the Texoma Healthcare Center in Sherman. Gerald was born September 10, 1938 in Pittsburg, Texas, son of K.D. and Lottie Mae Bradshaw McAllister. He married Mattie Lois "Pat" Wegner on January 21, 1960. She preceded him in death on November 13, 1996. Gerald drove a truck for many years. He loved riding horses, western movies but most of all he loved helping people. Gerald was a kind, loving man who loved life. Gerald is survived by his daughter, Peggy McAllister Hall and husband, William "Bill" Hall; three grandchildren, Gregory McAllister of Sherman; Kasey Holmes and husband, Brandon, of McKinney; and Masey McAllister and Steven Brauninger. He is also survived by one great-grandson, Evan Holmes.
