Lee Carey was born February 29, 1952 in Jackson, Mississippi to the
parents of Charlie Lee and Cleotha Carey. At the age of 7, the
family relocated to Santa Cruz, California. There he attended
Santa Cruz School District. During his junior and senior years he
attended the Ravenswood School District in East Palo Alto, California.
After graduation he attended San Diego State. He moved to Sherman. He is preceded in death by father, Charlie Lee Carey; three brothers : James, Jimmie, and Charles and one sister, Carolyn Louise Eleby. He is survived by his mother, Cleotha Carey of Jackson, MS; his children: Senque J. Carey of Los Angeles; DeeDee Carey of Oakland; and Rika Michelle of Redwood City; also by four granddaughters and one grandson, one great-granddaughter and two great-grandsons; two sisters: Lou E.
