The Denison Press Saturday, April 11, 1942 pg. 4 DEATH ROLL DeBerry Glenn Dumas, 72, of San Antonio, died at the home of a sister, Mrs. Harry Carlat, 1401 W. Walker street this morning following an illness of two days. Funeral services will be held privately and only intimate friends and relatives will be present, the details of which are not announced. Returning from France he entered social work and did rehabilitation work for the soldiers. He retired from active service in 1936, locating in San Antonio. He came to Denison recently and antidipated purchasing a home here. Survivng are a brother, Dr. M.O. Dumas, Phoenix, Arizona; his Denison sister, Mrs. Carlat; a son, Col. Walter Alexander Dumas, San Francisco and several grandchildren. Born December 15, 1870 at Maysville, Arkansas, his parents were Mr. and Mrs. David Dumas. He was a retired social worker and a member of the Presbyterian Church. He was educated in the schools of Grayson County and attended Baylor University and took an extension course from Cambridge, Oxxford, England. He served in the first world war in the Army Y work.
