 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas  Glen Douglas 27 July 1923 - 11 October 2006 Lucille Douglas 16 May 1921 - 12 May 2011 wed 1 July 1944 The Herald Democrat May 16, 2011 SHERMAN - Graveside funeral services for Lucille Douglas will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 17 at West Hill Cemetery. Jeff Howard will officiate with services under the direction of Waldo Funeral Home. Mrs. Douglas, 89, passed away Thursday, May 12 at the Homestead of Sherman. Lucille was born May 16, 1921, in Denison to the late Walter and Gladys (Richardson) Boatright. After graduating from Denison schools, she married Glen Douglas on July 1, 1944, in Denison. She and Mr. Douglas were married over 62 years when he passed away in October 2006. Lucille enjoyed cooking, sewing, and loved her animals and birds. She was a Baptist. Mrs. Douglas is survived by one son, Charles Douglas of Sherman; one daughter, Linda Jones of Sherman; two grandsons, Jason and Ryan Douglas and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Arthur, Ivie, and Michael Boatright; and three sisters, Alice Conner, Eula Faye Foster, and Lena Boatright. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday at Waldo Funeral Home. The register book can be signed online at waldofuneralhome.com.
