Bradford Birge 21 April 1898 - 6 April 1920 Mrs.
Birge was born in Navarro County, Texas, the daughter of Mr. &
Mrs.
George W. Elliott. She passed away in her home in Sherman,Texas.
She attended school at Tehuacana College in Limestone County, Texas. She married John B. Birge in Angus, Texas on the 4th of February 1889. She was a member of Travis Street Methodist Church, Sherman and for many years was active in local church and social life. She was the widow of a Sherman cotton dealer whose father, Capt. Noble Allan Birge, was an early settler of the town. She and her husband celebrated their golden anniversary one year before he died. Preceded in death by her husband and son, Allan N. Birge, Mrs. Birge was survived by her son, George W. Birge of Pittsburg, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren: George Allan Bradley, in route to Germany for Army service, William B. Birge, already serving in Germany with the Army, Robert Bradley of Sherman, A. Houghton Birge of Los Angeles, California, and Linda Birge of Pittsburg. Funeral services were conducted by Reverend Edward R. Barcus Jr., pastor of the Travis Street Methodist Church.
