William E. Daughety, 75, of
Pittsburg, Ks. died at 6:30 p.m. Saturday in a local hospital, after a three
week illness. He had been visiting in
the home of his daughter, Mrs. E.W. Fitzgerald, 805 West Lamar. Funeral services were to be at 2:30 p.m.
Monday at the North Park Baptist Church, conducted by the Rev. Claude Johnston.
Interment was to be in
West Hill Cemetery directed by Talley Funeral Home and pallbearers were to be
J.H. Simmons, Duke McKinney, T.M. Tolbert, J.C. Haggard, Ben Hagan, and Bill
Huebsch.
Mr. Daughety was born
March 20, 1869, in Bulter County Ky., the son of Mr. and Mrs. A.J.
Daughety. He was married in 1895 to Miss
Lula Bell Richard who died Jan 21, 1918.
He was a member of the Baptist church of Sulphur, Okla.
Survivors include two
sons R.L. Daughety of Clovis N.M., and J.A. Daughety of Sherman: a daughter Mrs.
Fitzgerald: two brothers G.W. and J.H. Daughety of Sherman: three sisters, Mrs.
Roy Taylor of Telephone, Mrs. Leonard Lamb of Shallow Water, and Mrs. Susan
Hines of Arlington: one granddaughter and two great grandchildren.
