Edwin Baldwin (1844 - ) of Missouri married Rachel James Gammon,
daughter of Noah Gammon and Ellenor James. Rachel was born 1843
in Tennesse; the Gammon family moved to Missouriin 1850. By the
mid-1870s the family had moved to Sherman, Grayson County, Texas.
Of Martillus and Rachel's eleven children, the last three were
born in Grayson County. Ida Ann Baldwin ~ died in infancy in Sherman Lillie May Baldwin ~ born 1878, married G.W. Thornton, died in Dallas, Texas Walter Embree, born 1881, died in infancy in Sherman Rachel died in childbirth in 1881 with Walter Embree; she is buried in West Hill Cemetery along with two of her children.
