The Whitewright Sun Thursday, February 25, 1954 pg. 1 Funeral services were held Wednesday at Sherman for Mrs. C.W. Hampton, 72, who died Tuesday at 12:30 a.m. at a Sherman hospital. She was a native of Copeville and lived in Whitewright at one time. Mrs. Hampton was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. G.T. Hornbuckle. She was the former Miss Mary Hornbuckle. She came to Grayson County 42 years ago and moved from Whitewright to Sherman 27 years ago. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband; four sons, E.M. Hampton of Sherman; Dr. A.O. Hampton of Washington, D.C.; Rev. L.W. Hampton of Davidsonville, Maryland; and Morrell Hampton of Ft. Worth; two sisters, Mrs. S.A. Gambrell and Mrs. G.J.
