January 17, 1957 PERRIN EMPLOYE DIES IN SHERMAN HOSPITAL Sherman - Funeral services were scheduled for 4 p.m. today at Barrett Chapel for E. Raymond Garland, 56, who died at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in a local hospital. He had been ill for three weeks. Rev. Ed Young, First Baptist pastor, was to officiate, assisted by Dr. E.L. Halcomb of Dallas. Burial was to be in West Hill Cemetery. Garland was born August 10, 1901, in Sherman, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. R. Garland. He married Miss Augusta Klinkman, January 23, 1926, in Sherman and lived in Grayson County all his life. At the time of his death, he was an employe at Perrin Air Force Base but he had worked for Hardwicke-Etter for 25 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife, a daughter, Miss Barbara Nell Garland, and his parents, all of Sherman.
