Miss Frances C. Johnson, a pioneer and well beloved Sherman woman, died at her home at 220 West Mulberry Street Sunday morning at 6 o'clock after a short illness.
Miss Finn, as she was affectionately known to her friends, was known as a woman of sweet gentle and kindly characteristics.  During the years she lived in Sherman, she had lived quietly, in the esteem of family and friend.  A member of the Baptist church since childhool, she was through the years one of its most faithful attendants.
Three sisters survive her, Mrs. J.C. Statler and Miss Sallie Johnson of Sherman; and Mrs. Lou V. Gren of Jackson, Missouri.
Funeral services were held  Monday morning at the First  Baptist  Church.   The active pallbearers were Joe F. Etter, John B. Birge, Will Pierce, George S. Murphy, Frank Spangler, Sam Fitch and Fred Birge.  Honorary pallbearers were T.D. Joiner, R.F. Pool, Sr., H.O. Harrington, W.A. Harvey, J.R. Sanders, W.M. Shaw, Tom L. Tennison, Judge J.R. Blades, Judge G.P. Webb, Judge Rice Maxey, S.W. Durham, C.D. Pierce, Hamlett Blades and Granville Hackett.
