West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas Dallas Morning News 7 October 1897 Many Pathetic Incidents Sherman, Tex., Oct. 6 - The death of J.M. Adams of typhoid fever, which occurred last night at the residence of J.A. Devine on Grand avenue, had many pathetic incidents connected with it. He was a young man and had been in the state but little over a week. Only a few days before he left Missouri, his bride of only three weeks died after a brief illness. Mr. Devine was a relative of the deceased. The burial took place this afternoon at West Hill cemetery. The deceased was 33 years of age.
