NECROLOGICAL
Sherman, Tex., June 26 - Mrs. Ellen Fenet Etter, wife of G.M. Etter, No. 426 North Travis street, died yesterday afternoon in Ft. Worth, aged 74 years.  Death came as the result of an operation performed yesterday morning at a sanitarium in Ft. Worth, where the aged lady had been taken for that purpose.  Her son, Joe F. Etter, and Dr. J.M. Stinson were at her bedside when the end came.  The remains arrived this morning from Ft. Worth, accompanied by the two gentlemen and were taken to the residence on North Travis street.  The funeral services were conducted this afternoon at 4 o'clock from the First Baptist Church by Rev. Forest Smith, pastor.  The church was filled with friends and acquaintances of the dead woman, who came to pay the last tribute to the departed.  The remains were laid to rest in West Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. Etter was well known and highly esteemed.  She had been a resident of Sherman for more than 25 years and her long residence here and her sweet traits of character had endeared her to every one with whom she came in contact.  She was a faithful and devout member of the First Baptist Church.
She leaves, besides her aged husband, a son, Joe F. Etter of the Hardwicke-Etter Hardware Company; two sisters, Mrs. J.M. Stinson and Mrs. Parrish of Sherman; and a brother in Paris, Texas.
