Sherman Democrat April 19, 1946 Resident of Sherman 45 years is Dead Mrs. Lawson Embry, who had lived at 1117 South Walnut 45 years, died at 9am today at a local hospital following an illness of seven weeks. Funeral services will be held at 4 pm Saturday at the John C. Dannell Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert L. Badgett, pastor of the Central Christian Church officiating. Burial will be in the West Hill Cemetery. The Former Drusilla Taylor, Mrs. Embry was born in Butler County, Kentucky, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. B. Taylor, and came to Sherman while in her childhood. She was a member of the Central Christian Church. Survived are her husband; a son, Ura Embry of Houston; a dauhgter, Mrs. J. T. Long of Sherman; a sister Mrs. Linda Leach of San Antonio; a brother, Austin Taylor of Uvalde, Tex., three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
