Billy Richard Yoast 20 April 1931 - 18 March 2011 Julie Ann Yoast 1 September 1935 - Billy Richard Yoast, 79, a 30-plus year resident of Plano passed away on March 18, 2011, at the Medical Center of Plano. He is survived by his loving wife Julie. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 25, at the Dannel Funeral Home with Rev. Leland Samuelson officiating. Internment will follow at West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Billy was born April 20, 1931 in Wolfe City to Clarence and Annie Ethel (Barr) Yoast. After graduating from Sherman High School in 1948, he attended Austin College for one year and the University of Texas for two years. He participated in the School for Naval ROTC and joined the U.S. Navy during the Korean War as Naval Radar Officer. Completing a 37 year career with Frito-Lay, he served as a plant manager in Los Angeles and San Jose before transferring to Plano in 1979 as a Purchasing Specialist. He retired in 2001. Billy is survived by his wife Julie; two sons, James Richard Yoast and wife Carol of Madison, Ala. and Billy Michael Yoast of Banning, Calif.; a daughter, Joan Carol of Deltona, Fla.; six grandchildren, seven great grandchildren; and two sisters, Mary Elizabeth Reddick and husband Don of Denison and Patsy Sue Clay of Denison. Billy was preceded in death by his parents.
