West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas Lelia W. Conner 7 November 1865 - 6 October 1886 w/o L.A. Conner Sherman Daily Register 7 October 1886 BURIED Mrs. Lelia Conner was buried in the city cemetery this morning at 10 o'clock and was followed to her last resting place by a large concourse of friends and acquaintances. The funeral services took place at the residence of R. M. Smith, on South Crockett street and were conducted by Rev. J. M. Binkley, P. C. First Methodist church of this city. The deceased was for a number of years a resident of Sherman, and it was here that some nine months since she was united in the holy bonds of matrimony to Dr. Conners. During the short time since then she has made the family circle bright and happy, and her death has left a vacuum that it will be hard to fill. In the 21st year of her life she passed out of a mortal existence and has taken up her abode in the land where there shall be no more death nor woe; and where beneath the smiles of an approving Creator she will guard the footsteps of those left behind and will be at the gate to welcome them home when they too shall have given up all of earth and crossed over the river.
