 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas   George R. Cole 1955 - 2012  SHERMAN - Funeral services for George Raymond Cole will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 21 at West Hill Cemetery. Rev. Jason Anderson of the Trinity Baptist Church will officiate. Mr. Cole, 57, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, September 18, 2012 at Texas Health Presbyterian-WNJ Medical Center. Raymond was born September 10, 1955 in Sherman to Virgil and Dorothy (Sampson) Cole. He attended Tom Bean and Sherman Schools. Raymond joined the U.S. Army on September 27, 1972 in Dallas and was honorably discharged on February 27, 1975. Raymond worked as a welder at Weldco in Colbert. He was a talented artist and enjoyed painting, motorcycles, and making armor worn during the medieval times. Mr. Cole is survived by three children, Steven Ray Cole, Tara Cole, and Tori Cole; 10 grandchildren, Alexis, Steven Jr, Mercades, Kara, Kaden, Little Lisa, Hailey, Big Lisa, Tommy, and Lyrik; father, Virgil "Pete" Cole; three brothers, Ronald Cole, Larry Cole, and Johnny Mack Cole; and sister, Hallie Faye Morono, all of Sherman. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Cole and brother, Donald Cole.
