Brockett, retired housewife and civil service employee who died Thursday in a Sherman hospital, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Tom Brandon will officiate, with burial in West Hill Cemetery. Mrs. Abernathy was born in Van Alstyne, the daughter of Benjamin and Nancy Kelly Williams, and married Fariesh M. Abernathy June 28, 1925 in Grayson County. She was a member of First Baptist Church, where she taught the Primary Department Sunday School Class for 45 years. Surviving is a sister, Mrs. J.M.Allison of Sherman. Pallbearers will be H.V.Boggs, Barrett Little, James Allison, Jim Allison, Durant McElreath and Jerry Howard. ABERNATHY Services for Fariesh Milton Abernathy, 96-years-old retired electrician of 607 W. Brockett who died Friday in a herman hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in Waldo Funeral Home Chapel. Dr. Tom Brandon of First Baptist Church will officiate and burial will be in West Hill Cemetery. Mr. Abernathy was born in Grayson County, the son of J.P. and Martha Duncan Abernathy, and married Cora Alice Williams June 28, 1925, in Grayson County. He was an electrician with Fant Milling Company for many years and then with Duke Electric Company, retiring in 1976. He was a member of the Woodman of the World and First Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife; and brother, Herbert Abernathy of El Cajon, Calif. Pallbearers will be J.M.Allison, Scotty Boggs, Gordon Duke, Barrett Little, Durant McElreath and Joe King.
