January 5-6, 2012 Sherman - Funeral services for Joe Louis Boddie, 74, were held Saturday morning, January 6, 2012 at St. John C.M.E. Church in Sherman. Steve Lewis officated and delivered the eulogy. Following the services, Mr. Boddie was laid to rest at West Hill Cemetery, Sherman. Mr. Boddie is survived by his wife, Martha H. Boddie of Sherman; daughters, Denise Kemp and husband, Arnez; and Chandra Boddie of Sherman; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; his mother, Ms. Addie Boddie of Sherman; and sister, Rose Moorman of Frisco.
