West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas Carl Mack Blair 31 July 1919 - 27 January 1988 Private US Army WWII The Herald Democrat January 15, 2015 Sherman - Lorene was born with twin brother Lawrence on June 15, 1920 in Tell, Texas to John R. and Della Mae (Van Dyke) Bostick and died peacefully on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at her home at the age of 94, Lawrence died in infancy and Lorene was the last living child of ten children. Lorene was a gifted pianist from the age of 5. She was a people person who loved everyone. Lorene met Carl Mack Blair in high school in Cee Vee, Texas and were marred on March 31, 1936 in Hollis, Oklahoma. They lived in Cee Vee, Gardena, CA and Sherman and had four children. Lorene was a member of Grayson Bible Baptist Church. Lorene was preceded in death by her husband, Mack, on January 27, 1988 after 51 years of marriage; five brothers, four sisters, one son, Jimmy Glenn Blair in 1993, son-in-law Daniel E. Mills in 2010, parents-in-law Sam and Eva Blair, brothers-in-law W.T. (Neta) Blair and W.E. (Vera) Blair. She is survived by her daughter Gale Mills; 2 sons Carl Gene Blair and David Eugene Blair all of Sherman; grandchildren Daniel, Marty, and Daren Mills and Lou Ann Blair; 10 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-gramdchildren, niece Winona Furr (J.A.) of Childress, Texas; nephews Jerry Bostick (Joy) of Roswell, New Mexico; Ronald Blair of Tehachapi, California; and several more nieces and nephews living in Texas, California and Florida. Funeral services to celebrate Lorene's life were held on Friday afternoon, January 16 at Grayson BIble Baptist Church with Bro. Roy Webster officiating. Music was provided by Billy Young, Jeff Paget, and Anita McDaniel. Interment followed at West Hill Cemetery with Charles Hamilton, BIlly Hamilton, Greg Rostyne, Tyler Bittner, Gregory Blair and Charles Welch serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers were Billy E. Miller, Joe Rushing, Jose Castro, John Dick, and David Staggs.
