 Charles A. Barker 23 February 1916 - 13 February 1946  The Whitewright Sun Thursday, July 19, 1928 pg. 2 C.A.BARKER DIES AT SHERMAN HOME Sherman, Charles A. Barker, 63, died here Monday morning. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 10:30 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John A. Ramsey. The service was conducted by Rev. Emmett Davison, pastor of the Central Christian Church. He had been a practicing attorney here for the last 30 years. He served three terms as flotorial Democratic Representative of the Legislature from Grayson and Collins Counties (1919 -1927) and was a candidate for that position at the time of his death.
