 West Hill Cemetery Sherman, Texas  Ida Bertha Banks 23 November 1879 - 16 June 1971 The Whitewright Sun Thursday, June 24, 1971 pg. 5 Service were held at 3 p.m. Friday in the Mullican-Little Funeral Chapel for Mrs. Ida Banks, 91, who died at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in a Savoy rest home. Rev. R.M. Williams, Baptist minister of Sherman, officiated. Burial was in West Hill Cemetery, Sherman. Mrs. Banks was born November 23, 1879 in Waxahachie. She moved to Sherman in 1927 and was an employe of the old St. Vincent's hospital. She was the wife of the late Lynch Banks and had been a resident of the Savoy rest home since 1958. Survivors are two sons, H.L. Banks of Kerens, Texas and V.L. Banks of Lubbock; one daughter, Mrs. Pearl Herman of Denver, Colorado; two sisters, Mrs. John Bowden of Rice, Texas and Mrs. Vera McGinnis of Lubbock; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
